Basenji LLC ("Basenji," "Red Frame," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Red Frame website, how we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.

For purposes of EU, UK, and Swiss data protection laws, Basenji LLC is the controller of the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. We have not appointed a data protection officer because we do not understand one to be required for our current limited processing.

We use Cloudflare to help deliver, secure, and analyze traffic to the Red Frame website. Cloudflare may process technical information about site visits, such as IP addresses, request and response metadata, browser and device information, approximate geolocation derived from IP address, referring URLs, and information about site traffic, performance, and security events. We use this information to operate and protect the website, understand traffic and performance trends, and detect or mitigate abuse, bots, attacks, or other unauthorized activity.

Cloudflare may process this information in the United States and other locations where Cloudflare or its service providers operate.

Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp to host our mailing list, provide signup forms, store subscriber information, send mailing list emails, and report on mailing list engagement. Mailchimp is operated by The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp, an Intuit company. When you sign up or interact with a mailing list email, information such as your name, email address, signup source, IP address, approximate location, and email engagement data may be processed by Mailchimp so the mailing list can be managed, delivered, and measured. Mailchimp and Intuit may also process some information under their own privacy and legal terms.

Mailchimp may process mailing list information in the United States and other locations where it or its service providers operate. Mailchimp states that it uses safeguards for international transfers, including Data Privacy Framework certifications and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

Depending on the form and anti-abuse settings we use, Mailchimp and its service providers may also process technical information needed to protect the signup flow and prevent fraudulent or automated submissions.

Steam

The Red Frame website links to Steam pages operated by Valve Corporation. Some Steam links on this website include UTM campaign parameters so that Steamworks can report aggregate information about visits from this website and related actions, such as wishlist additions or purchases. Steamworks UTM reporting is provided in aggregate form and does not give us Steam IDs or other personal information about individual Steam users.

Sharing

We share personal information collected through the Red Frame website only with service providers and platforms that help us operate the website, understand interest in Red Frame, or manage the mailing list, such as Cloudflare, Mailchimp, Valve, and related providers that support hosting, content delivery, site security, traffic or performance analytics, Steam store analytics, signup forms, email delivery, abuse prevention, and engagement reporting, or when required by law. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies And Tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies for targeted advertising on the Red Frame website. Cloudflare may process request-level and similar technical data to provide content delivery, traffic analytics, performance reporting, and site security features. Steam links may include UTM campaign parameters that let Steamworks report aggregate visits and conversion activity from those links. If a mailing list signup form is embedded from or hosted by Mailchimp, Mailchimp and its service providers may process cookies or similar technical data needed to operate, secure, and measure the form. Mailing list emails sent through Mailchimp may also include tracking technologies, such as tracking pixels or tracked links, that let us see aggregate and contact-level engagement information, including opens and clicks.

Because we do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals do not change how the Red Frame website behaves.

Retention

We keep technical, analytics, and security information related to site visits and outbound Steam campaign reporting for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website and to comply with legal obligations. Service providers and platforms such as Cloudflare and Valve may also retain related logs and analytics under their own retention practices.

We keep mailing list signup information for as long as you remain subscribed. We may also keep signup records, engagement history, and related technical records for a reasonable period as needed to administer the mailing list, understand list health and campaign performance, prevent abuse, maintain suppression lists, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you mailing list emails, but we or Mailchimp may retain limited information, such as your email address on an unsubscribe or suppression list, as needed to honor your opt-out request, prevent accidental resubscription, maintain security, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Your Choices And Rights

You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any mailing list email.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to:

  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of personal information you provided.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

This section applies to California residents. In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from site visitors and mailing list subscribers:

We do not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.

California residents may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.

Children

The Red Frame website and the Basenji LLC mailing list, including Red Frame-related updates, are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information processed through the website and mailing list. No internet or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
